History, natural treasures, ancient cultures, magical markets, soft-sand beaches, lively nightlife, diverse people - Israel has it all! Combine participation in a great conference with a tour in a country you always wanted to visit, but have not yet had a chance!

SMI 2011 will take place at the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya. Herzliya, a suburb of Tel-Aviv, is a lovely city with wonderful beaches, lively malls, excellent restaurants, and near-by some fabulous archaeological sites. It is a good starting point to tour Israel. Located 60 minutes from Jerusalem and 50 minutes from Haifa. You will have a chance to see it all - the wonders of Jerusalem, lively Tel-Aviv, and the Christian heritage of the Galilee.

The Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya is Israel's first private Institution for Higher Education. Founded by renowned Israeli Professor of Law, Uriel Reichman in 1994, IDC Herzliya is a non-profit organization modeled after Ivy League schools in the U.S. IDC Herzliya's success has brought both international recognition and drawn some of the finest lecturers and researchers from around the world to our doorstep. Our faculty is dedicated to IDC Herzliya's primary goal: giving our students the tools they need to become leaders both in Israel and abroad.
