SMI’11 was held at the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC), Herzliya, Israel. Herzliya is located on the central coast of Israel and is part of the Tel Aviv District. It is the high-tech industry center of israel, a lovely city with wonderful beaches, lively malls, excellent restaurants, and near-by some fabulous archaeological sites.

All accepted submissions were published either as full-length or short journal papers in issue 35(3) of Computers & Graphics (Elsevier). All submissions were handled via the Elsevier EES system.
